Fashion Trends of the Szn: Winter 2025

 

I rarely talk about fashion and have mainly been sharing lifestyle bits on here, but as most of you know I’ve worked in fashion for over 12 years for some very big named companies.  The name for this blog was inspired by my love and passion for fashion and my true belief that a good fitted shirt or new outfit can change a person.

I’ve been doing a lot of online browsing and a bit of shopping for next season and I wanted to talk about a few trends from this season. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but Cheetah Prints, Prep School, Sequins, Baggy Sweaters, Loafers, and Ruffles made a comeback along with other trends that has shown up on the runway and into mainstream.

My personal opinion? Love it. This recycling of trends from 5-10 years ago means I get to break out pieces from my precious closet that I’ve had for years. And I think that IS why these trends have made a comeback as sustainability and reusing rebuying and reselling clothing has become the norm.

I think it’s fantastic as a whole that fashion has adopted the general sentiments of the masses as opposed to conjuring up fashion that is not wearable, buyable, or functional. Your average person wants to feel comfortable, confidant, and not like a walking fashion statement when wearing a brands clothing. 

From my observations, what has clearly made the outs is athelesiure and comfort, lounge clothing. COVID has been long over and there is no excuse to look like a slob anymore. Plus lounge clothing and athlesuire serves exclusive purposes of work out and at home - we have to be technical here and truly reserve those styles for their intended purposes

I hope you enjoyed this tidbit. Whether you shop on Temu or Saks, I’m sure you will find something to your liking. Do keep in mind a company’s ESG and sustainability and buy only what you need.
