First 2 Months (or so) in Brooklyn, NY - Just Slivin'
Today marks my second (or so) month in NY, NY. It's been an amazing ride so far - I've grown so in love with the city and what it has to offer.
So far I've:
1. Joined 4 soccer teams! Met a lot of great teammates and learned the real meaning of sweat and tears (and some blood).
2. Joined a new book club here in Brooklyn! It's been great meeting with like-minded sistas (and brothas) discussing a new book every month. The pick is always good and this month the book was called "Black Cake."
3. Started working a new job - in the city!
4. Went to a language exchange and culture meet-up and met a ton of cool new people.
5. Explored the city with my pups!
My posts shall be longer next time but honestly the New York minute does move a lot faster than the California minute. I would like to add for my #6 that I've also started minding my mental health a lot better - that means staying out of drama and seeking professional mental heath support.
I've been so busy getting in the full swing of things I've forgotten how long I've been here and how many cool new people I've met and how many new things I've learned. No day is the same as the other and I am just so happy and feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to live (Again) in the best city on Earth.
Until next time! Stay hydated (with coffee now!).
