Cross-Country Move - I Said I Would So I Did - SF -> NYC
One of my new year resolutions was to move cross-country from SF to NYC this year. Right after the New Years, I received a job offer from a Luxury Accessories group - essentially my dream job and got the opportunity to move back to NYC.
Enlisting the help of my friend Alena (who I treated to pizza after!) - packing took 2 days, driving took 52 hours, and unpacking took 2 days. Starting on Monday at 10:30am and arriving in Brooklyn at 3:30pm, my pops, Uncle, 2 dogs and I drove across 11 states and saw many cool cities and sights in between while taking burger and potty breaks (for the dogs of course).
We received a warm welcome from my new roommates and neighborhood as my dogs and I buy necessities and explore the neighborhood on the first night while doing the majority of the unpacking the second. We jumped right back into exercising after almost after a week of being stationary by joining a soccer pickup game in Williamsburg with a gorgeous view of the Brooklyn bridge and the sunset and joined a volleyball and subsequent soccer pickup game after.
While I want to say I did this all by myself - I could not have done it without the support and help of my family, pets, friends, and the folks at my new job for giving me the opportunity and providing me with the love and support to not only make such a big decision but provide me the energy needed. It was not easy but it certainly was a lot easier with the love of my loved ones and friends.
We (the dogs and I) are so excited to explore more of the city we love the most - NYC and continue working in fashion after a near year hiatus while doing what we love best - soccer and making new friends. We are so stoked for this new chapter - stay tune on the blog for more! 💓
